    What Is Relay Load?
    A relay load refers to the electrical load that a relay controls. In other words, it is the device or system that receives electrical power through a relay switch. Relays themselves operate as intermediate switches that control the flow of current to a load, typically using a low control voltage or current to activate or deactivate the high-power devices connected to the load.
    In a typical relay configuration, the low-power control circuit, which is often the relay coil, operates in response to an external signal. This signal may be triggered by a control system, sensor, or operator. When the relay coil is energized, the internal switch closes, allowing electrical power to flow to the relay load. When the relay coil is de-energized, the switch opens, cutting the power supply to the load.
