    A high current car relay is a type of electromagnetic switch used in automotive electrical systems to control high-current components with a low-current signal. Relays are essentially switches that use a small electrical current to control a much larger electrical current. This is especially important in cars, where components such as the starter motor, electric windows, fans, and lights require substantial amounts of current to function.
    The relay consists of an electromagnet (coil), a set of contacts (usually two: normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC)), and a spring. When a low-voltage signal energizes the coil, it generates a magnetic field that pulls the contacts together or separates them, depending on the relay’s design. This allows or interrupts the flow of high-current electricity to the connected devices.
